THE #WIMBELFAST INAUGURAL CONFERENCE IS JUST DAYS AWAY

Hello everyone.

We have been so heartened by the positivity and good wishes for our inaugural conference.

We are thrilled with the three amazing panels we have lined up.

The Zoom event starts on Monday, March 8th at 10.30am and will finish at 2.30pm.

Panel One - Where are the women? Marginalised Women's Voices in the Media - is chaired by Amanda Ferguson. She is joined by: Lilian Seenoi-Barr; Stacey Graham; Rachel Powell; Anna Lo; and Elspeth Vischer.

Panel Two - Women on the front line - reporting in troubled times - is chaired by Allison Morris. She is joined by: Nicola Tallant; Jane Loughrey; and Mandy McAuley.

Panel Three - Social media campaigns - grassroots activism or grand scale virtue signalling? - is chaired by Patricia MacBride. She is joined by Eileen Flynn, Fatima Halawa and Claire McKeegan.

On the day delegates will also watch contributions from: First Minister of Northern Ireland and DUP leader, the Right Honourable Arlene Foster MLA; Joint First Minister in the north of Ireland and Sinn Féin Leas Uachtarán (Vice President) Michelle O’Neill MLA; Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, and Green Party deputy leader (Ireland) Catherine Martin TD; and Shadow Secretary of State for Northern Ireland and Labour Party MP for Sheffield Heeley Louise Haigh.
