IWD2022 WHAT GIRLS WANT

WIMB IWD 2022 ‘WHAT GIRLS WANT’ BELFAST CITY HALL LUNCH ON MONDAY, MARCH 7

Women in Media Belfast (WIMB) is all about amplifying voices and platforming expertise.

We decided to mark International Women’s Day 2022 by centring our amazing girls.

On Monday, March 7th, ahead of IWD on the 8th, teenage girls will be joining WIMB, the Lord Mayor of Belfast Kate Nicholl, and councillors from across the political spectrum for a special lunch in City Hall.

We will be celebrating all that is good about being a girl, and discussing all the important issues of the day.

What challenges do girls face? What issues matter to girls? What do girls want?

We will be finding out from the girls attending a variety of Belfast schools and colleges, including Hazelwood Integrated College, Belfast Model School for Girls, Rathmore Grammar School, Mercy College Belfast, Belfast Royal Academy, St Louise’s Comprehensive College & Belfast Metropolitan College, to name just a few.

WIMB said: “We are looking forward to a fun IWD lunch with the girls. We are always so impressed by our thoughtful and intelligent young people. They are never short of opinions, so we can’t wait to hear what they have to say.”

We have a small number of places left if you know a teenager who would like to join us,, or if you are media with any queries about Monday’s event, please get in touch contact@wimbelfast.com

Thanks
