Women in Media Belfast CIC presents ‘Accelerate Action’ to mark International Women’s Day 2025.
We are back in Belfast City Hall for an afternoon of community, craic and learning.

Your event host is Belfast Telegraph journalist, and WIMB director, Niamh Campbell.
There will be a Jawbox Gin reception and tasty hot lunch on arrival from 1pm.
Once we are fed and watered there will be a range of speakers including:
WIMB director Patricia MacBride; Lord Mayor of Belfast Councillor Micky Murray; freelance journalist, broadcaster, and nutritionist Sal Hanvey; freelance journalist Caoimhe Clements; QUB PhD researcher and Churchill fellow Nicole Devlin; Open University law and arts lecturer Dr Sophie Doherty; author, and integration and diversity campaigner Amelia Kai; and The Scoop’s past and present team (freelance journalist and SCI fellow Claire Dickson, Belfast Telegraph news editor Flavia Gouveia, and QUB student journalists Jessica Toal and Jess Donohue).
There will also be a new media guidelines workshop facilitated by Women’s Aid Federation NI staff to finish.
